by Laila BhunnooWe started off full of enthusiasm which was helped by the pink customised DL T-shirts. Click here to see pictures of the event.
Then as approached the starting line the heavens opened wishing we had come prepared with pink stork umbrellas. We were doing the Race for Life in Hyde Park - Cancer Research holds races up and down the country on different days encouraging as many people to be involved whether racing, jogging or walking. Most of us ran in memory of people who we had lost to cancer and it was heart-warming to see so many people who had made such an effort - there were over 17,000 ladies running - some on stilts, some in tutus some in angel wings and some in dominatrix costumes - but all running for a brilliant cause - for cancer research.
We raised over £2,000 for Cancer Research, and all plan on participating in next years event.
