Duncan Lewis Solicitors raised over £300 for the charity; Scope with a “Charity Fun Cricket Match” on 01 August 2014.
Duncan Lewis Solicitors raised £300.51 through a “Charity Fun Cricket Match”. The match took place on the 1st August 2014 at Stoke Green Cricket Club.
22 members of the Legal Aid firm gathered on the Green to hold the match, where all the funds raised were donated to the charity Scope.
Duncan Lewis regularly participate in fundraising for charitable organisations supported by their own Charity Committee; the firm recently opened their own pro bono legal surgery in their Cardiff office in association with LawWorks Cymru, and have donated sums to various charities so far this year, including the upcoming Football Aid match for Gaza’s humanitarian relief, Sports Relief, UNICEF Philippines Typhoon Appeal, a food run for the Southall based Charity S.W.A.T, and Breast Cancer Awareness’ Wear it Pink.
Gurpreet Chadha, Immigration Solicitor at Duncan Lewis and participant in the cricket game added:
"It was an exciting charitable event which brought the spirit of positivity and team effort in sincerely raising funds for Scope who are actively involved in helping disabled people. Everyone who participated felt very satisfied and honored in making their contribution to the Charity and they truly enjoyed playing a fun game of cricket. There were generous contributions of providing a cricket ground and the hall free of costs by the Management of the Stoke Green Cricket Club where the event was hosted."
Scope are a charity that operate to create a society where those who suffer with disabilities have the same opportunities as everyone else. Scope provide support provide support, information and advice to more than a quarter of a million disabled people and their families every year. and raise awareness of the issues that matter.
