Mental Health

Peter joined Duncan Lewis in 2005 and is Head of the Mental Health team at the Harrow on the Hill office.

Peter qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 and has been a member of the Law Society Mental Health Review Tribunal Panel since 2001. Only Solicitors who meet the Law Society’s exacting accreditation requirements are permitted to join the panel. He is also a committee member of the Mental Health Lawyers Association. Since being in legal practice, he has worked mainly with mentally disordered offenders and some criminal appeals where mental health is an issue. At present he has a mixed caseload, including work with mentally unwell prisoners and representing lifers at Parole Board Hearings.

Peter has a passion and commitment to ensuring that his clients receive all round support and works closely with the social welfare departments. He is an advocate who endeavours to represent clients personally throughout their proceedings.

Since joining the firm, Peter has been involved in developing the department’s growth at both the Hackney, Clapham and Harrow on the Hill offices with numerous experienced Mental Health Panel Members and solicitors.
