Kishan Soburrun is a Consultant Solicitor within the Crime and Mental Health department.

Kishan graduated from the University of Wolverhampton in 2006 with an LLB Hons Law degree. He went on to complete the LPC at BPP Professional Education in 2007.Kishan joined Duncan Lewis in 2008 as a Paralegal before successfully completing his Training Contract with the Firm in February 2011.

Kishan is now a valued member of the Crime and Mental Health Team .He is an Accredited Police Station Representative and has represented clients on a range of offences at both Police Station and Magistrates courts around London.Kishan is now in the process of completing the Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme ( Crime Duty Solicitor).

Kishan also specialises in Mental Health Law and is a Member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal Panel. Only solicitors that meet the Law Society's exacting accreditation requirements are permitted to join the panel.Kishan has represented a number of clients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended by the 2007 Act) within special hospitals, medium secure and low secure settings. He also represents patients detained under the civil sections and restricted sections in their appeal to the Mental Health Tribunal and Hospital Managers.

Kishan is fluent in French and has a wide range of skills that enable him to represent different types of clients from all backgrounds. He takes pride in establishing good working relationships with his clients and believes this is a fundamental aspect of his work. Kishan’s interests include politics, football and martial arts.
