Daniel joined Duncan Lewis as a Consultant to the Mental Health Department in November 2010. Daniel began training as a solicitor in 2007 and became a member of the Law Society Mental Health Accreditation Panel in 2009. He qualified with Hadaway & Hadaway Solicitors in Newcastle upon Tyne where he worked in their Family, Criminal, and Mental Health departments before moving to Oxford to work with the Oxford Law Group.
Daniel has a particular interest in representing sectioned patients with a forensic history. He has experience in representing clients at Broadmoor and Rampton Secure Hospitals.
Daniel studied for an undergraduate degree in Fine Art at the University of Leeds before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP College, Leeds, and the Legal Practice Course in his hometown of Newcastle upon Tyne.
Daniel regularly works with mental health charities in the North East region to keep them and their service users informed of relevant changes in the law.
