Aklema graduated from Baylor University, Wales in July 2007 after studying Law for three years. She then went on to study The Legal Practice Course part-time at The College of Law.
Whilst studying The Legal Practice Course she has volunteered for the National Centre for Domestic Violence and Bedfordshire Advocacy Service for Older People.
Aklema was attracted to Duncan Lewis Solicitors for the large amount of publicly funded work they do.
She can speak and understand Bengali.
