Duncan Lewis & Co’s Litigation department is a prominent and expanding department with a team of experienced Lawyers who are committed to providing effective case-specific advise in order to resolve our client’s disputes. The Litigation team deals with a wide range of Litigation matters and provides efficient advice and representation to commercial, business, private and Legal Aid clients in respect of various Small-Claims (less than £5000), Fast-Track (usually less than £15000) and Multi-Track Claims (over £15000). The work of our Litigation Lawyers includes drafting claim forms, drafting Defences and preparing Witness Statements in accordance with the Civil Procedure Rules. We make sure that we identify our client’s strengths and weaknesses and those of the other side. Once the other side’s strengths are identified we assess how to counter them. We always consider alternative means to settle disputes, for example, Mediation & Alternative Dispute Resolution, before resorting to the court but have no hesitation as to providing representation if required.
