Gabor graduated from Thames Valley University in law in 2000. He then went on to undertake an MBA at the same university. He undertook his LPC at Westminster University and achieved a Commendation in 2004. Gabor joined Duncan Lewis in January 2005 as a Caseworker within the Immigration Department. In 2006, Gabor was offered a Training Contract and he was admitted as a solicitor in February 2008. Gabor is qualified under the Law Society's Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme as a Senior Caseworker, which allows him to specialise in Immigration & Nationality law and provide specialist legal help for publicly funded work under the firm's LSC franchise. Gabor was attracted to Duncan Lewis because of the diversity of the people who work at the firm and the reputation the firm has in the field of immigration. His experience as a Trainee Solicitor with the firm are expressed in his own words: "The training that I have received at Duncan Lewis to date has been superb. As a trainee solicitor you are updated on a regular basis and you know exactly what is expected of you. You receive the support that is tailored to your individual needs. Since joining the firm, I have extended my knowledge and interpersonal skills and I would very much like to continue working for the firm once I have qualified." Gabor continues to work for Duncan Lewis after he was admitted as a solicitor and he specialises in immigration and asylum law. Gabor has undertaken work experience at the United Nations in Geneva. He is fluent in German and Hungarian and can also speak French and Czech.

Successful reported case: SS v SSHD C4/2008/2310 The Queen on the application of SS -v- Secretary of State for the Home Department. Appeal of Defendant from the order of Mr Justice Blair, dated 31st July 2008, filed 24th September 2008. - We won the JR and the HO appealed, the case was heard at the Court of Appeal by Sedley. Awaiting outcome.
