Rachel joined Duncan Lewis on 18th September 2003 as a caseworker after completing the Bar Vocational Course on 31st May 2003 and being called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple on 24th July 2003. She was admitted as a Solicitor in July 2006 having completed the Qualified Lawyer Transfer Test.

Rachel has continued her career with the firm and is qualified under the Law Society’s Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme as a Senior Caseworker, which allows her to specialise in Immigration & Nationality law and provide specialist legal help for publicly funded work under the firm’s Legal Services Commission franchise.

Given her extensive experience, Rachel specialises in dealing with vulnerable clients such as minors and those suffering from domestic violence. She regularly attends surgeries such as the GAIA centre at Brixton (a centre which provides free confidential emotional support to women affected by domestic violence) and Voluntary Resource Centre at the Refugee council in Luton and Slough Town hall where she has been assisting unaccompanied minors. She is also one of the firm’s approved Asylum Advisers on the Harmondsworth and Yarlswood Fast Track Rota arrangements.

Coming from a multi-cultural country, Rachel is fluent in the French and Creole languages. Rachel has been involved in raising money for charities such as Cancer Research UK and Diabetes UK by participating in various races such as Race for Life, British 10K.
