Immigration

Jarmila graduated from the University of Westminster in 2005 and completed the LPC at The College of Law. Jarmila joined Duncan Lewis & Co in 2006 as a Paralegal within the Immigration department. Following a successful completion of Training Contract at Duncan Lewis, Jarmila qualified as a solicitor in November 2010.

Jarmila is a Senior Caseworker, Accredited to Level 2 under the Law Society's Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme, which allows her to specialise in Immigration & Nationality law and provide specialist legal help for publicly funded work under the firm's Legal Services Commission franchise. Jarmila performs private and publicly funded immigration and asylum work. Jarmila conducts her own appeals at the Immigration Tribunal. Jarmila further represents immigration clients at bail hearings.

Following the years of experience at Duncan Lewis, Jarmila has a wide knowledge of immigration law relating to European nationals as well as the British nationality law. Jarmila has hands-on experience in dealing with mental health clients who have immigration issues.

Performing the wide range of immigration work, Jarmila successfully developed a valuable skill to be able to quickly adapt to new circumstances and diversify within her field of work.

Working as a consultant to the firm, Jarmila provides professional and expert advice to the firm's clients, who as such have access to deeper level of expertise that is feasible to the firm to retain in-house.

Jarmila works at the firm's premises but also, typically at the site of the clients.

She is fluent in the Slovak, Czech and Russian languages.
