Howard graduation from University College London in 2006, with an Honours Degree in Law. He went on to complete the then Bar Vocational Course in 2007 at the Inns of Court.

In 2007, Howard joined the Mary Ward Legal Centre and did some appeal work before the Social Security Tribunal, and also had assisted a client with her appeal at FRU.

He then went on to join Refuge Legal Centre (later know as Refugee and Migrant Justice) becoming a Law Society Level 2 accredited caseworker dealing with Asylum cases of detained and undetained clients. In 2009, Howard joined the Immigration Advisory Service, working on both detained and undetained. Asylum and Immigration cases. Howard has specialised in presenting appeals before the Tribunal, as well as dealing with the detained fast-track process.

Howard joined Duncan Lewis in December 2010 to continue his legal aid work in Immigration and Asylum with the biggest legal aid provider in the UK.

Howard has an academic interest in Immigration, Asylum and Human Rights Law and its relation to changes in Governmental policies.

In his spare time, Howard enjoys photography, and often relaxes by playing the violin.
