Hassan Haji joined Duncan Lewis in September 2007 and qualified as a solicitor in September 2007. He is qualified under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme as a senior caseworker, which allows him to specialize in asylum, immigration and nationality law and provide specialist legal help for publicly funded work under the firms LSC franchise.

He specialises in Asylum and Immigration appeals, Asylum applications; general immigration matters such as entry clearance appeals, Domestic violence applications, in-country visa applications, family reunion and Nationality matters. He represents detained clients with their asylum applications under Fast track scheme. He also represents clients before the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal in relation to their immigration/asylum and EEA Appeals and bail applications. Hassan has extensively dealt with criminal deportation cases and has managed to make successful appeals against deportation orders.

Hassan has worked for a number of legal firms before he joined Duncan Lewis as an immigration caseworker since 1999, such as C. Roberts Solicitors, Aston Clark Solicitors and Law for Law.

Hassan is well versed in the Somali and Arabic languages and deals with clients of all nationalities, especially clients within the Arab and East African communities and he is also involved in a number of cultural studies and voluntary organizations in the UK. He is currently one of the Trustees of the African Child UK.
