Deena graduated from Middlesex University with BA Hons in Law and Criminology before completing her LPC at Thames Valley University.

Deena qualified as a solicitor in November 2007 and joined Duncan Lewis in April 2008. She is qualified under the Law Society’s Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme as a Senior Caseworker and Supervisor, which allows her to specialise in Immigration & Nationality law. Deena provides specialist legal help for publicly funded work under the firm’s Legal Services Commission franchise.

Deena has 4 years experience in Immigration Law and has been a qualified solicitor for 1 1/2 years.

Deena also provides training and guidance to her supervises. Since Nov 2004 Deena trained at Palis Solicitors in the areas of Family, Housing and Immigration and now practices as an Immigration Solicitor.

Deena specialises in Asylum and Immigration appeals, asylum applications, deportation, and general immigration matters such as entry clearance, marriage application, and EEA and nationality matters. She has represented minors and disputed minors and is fully aware of the procedure in obtaining expert reports and makes representations to the Home Office to ensure the correct procedure is followed. She has also dealt with clients who are victims of torture, domestic violence and clients with mental health issues and understands the need to be patient, sympathetic but pro active to ensure they benefit from the relevant experts and or specialists are instructed to help progress the application and secure a positive outcome for vulnerable clients.

Deena has experience in Reconsideration matters. She loves the team spirit of Duncan Lewis.
