Amita is a Trainee Solicitor in the Welfare Benefits department. She joined Duncan Lewis in April 2008 and has practiced extensively in Social welfare law for over a year.

Amita can advise in relation to a wide range of Social Security matters such as fresh claims, overpayments, backdating, benefit fraud, appeal hearings and issuing Judicial review action against benefit authorities. Amita is also experienced in dealing with debt matters.

Amita is able to converse with her clients in Gujerati and Hindi.

Amita takes pride in assisting the most vulnerable people in our society. This is particularly important in current economic conditions when much greater number of people are relying on the social security system. There is no stereotypical client as she has in recent times has assisted the former self-employed people, professionals and students.
