Rukiye graduated from the University of Westminster with an Honors degree in LLB Law. She achieved a 2.1 in her degree. She then went on to do her LPC at BPP Law School in London and completed in 2007.

Rukiye worked at O'Keefe Solicitors before joining Duncan Lewis Rukiye joined DL in March 2008. She was attracted to Duncan Lewis due to the range of publicly funded work it is involved in and because of the ethnic diversity of the firm. After joining DL Rukiye has taken her accreditation exams and she is now Level 1 accredited immigration caseworker. Rukiye is an enthusiastic person who is keen to learn. Rukiye enjoys swimming and playing badminton.

Rukiye gives pro bono advice at the local mosque that she attends. Rukiye is a member of the Turkish Speaking Lawyers Association.
