Gavin joined the firm in November 2011 having been admitted as a solicitor in 2006. Gavin was called to the Bar in 2000. Gavin has a Masters degree in Corporate and Commercial law from King’s College London. Before becoming a solicitor Gavin developed his interest of the law in a local authority litigation department and enhanced his advocacy skills as a independent advocate where he gained particular civil litigation experience of landlord and tenant matters, including bankruptcy, debt and small claims. Gavin once appeared before His Honour Judge Collins QC CBE at Central London County Court on an appeal from a lower court.

In April 2009 Gavin joined Ismail & Co solicitors in their civil litigation department with experience of personal injury; housing law; consumer and contractual matters, debt recovery and enforcement. Gavin acted on behalf of private individuals as well as companies and attempts to resolve disputes other than through the court process.

At Duncan Lewis, Gavin is able to deal with a wide variety of housing cases including disrepair, mortgage repossession law, homelessness, posssession proceedings based on rent arrears and other grounds, anti-social behaviour, nuisance cases, unlawful eviction and other causes of action.

Gavin is a keen sportsman and has a passion for salsa and jive.
