Erol joined Duncan Lewis as a Senior Housing & Welfare Benefits Lawyer in November 2007, following five years working to set up and develop the Housing Departments of two High Street Law Firms - Fletcher Dervish and Burke Niazi.

He has worked extensively with the Turkish and Kurdish communities over many years. Erol has a passion for law and is committed to providing legal services to these and other communities in the area of welfare and housing law. Duncan Lewis' commitment to providing support to the ethnic communities of North & East London generally and the Turkish and Kurdish communities in particular was a significant attraction for him joining the firm In 2002 he qualified as a Solicitor, having undertaken the CPE and LPC at College of Law, London. He has experience in the whole ambit of housing and welfare law. He has particular experience of homelessness, possession action actions and vulnerable individuals. Erol was responsible for the successful challenge against the Out of Borough placement decision of Enfield Borough Council, in the case R -v- Enfield London Borough Council ex parte YUMSAK (2002) EWHC 280 Admin.

Before entering the law he had been Regional Sales & Marketing Manager for Intercontinental Hotels Corporation, in the UK and Benelux countries. After a life of 5 star luxury, he has gone on to develop a thorough knowledge of welfare and housing law issues.
