Family

Shafia is an Assistant Solicitor within the family department in the Hackney office.

She graduated from City University in 2005 with a law degree and completed the Legal Practice Course in 2006 at the College of Law in London.

Shafia specialises in family law, covering Injunctions, divorces and private and public children law matters. She enjoys the hands on approach from having direct client contact to conducting her own advocacy. She has dealt with complex cases and also with vulnerable clients.

Shafia is a member of the Pro Bono Committee at Duncan Lewis. She has previously attended Victim Support and Latin American Woman's Aid in Brixton to provide advice to their clients. She is passionate about providing legal advice to those whose financial circumstances are limited.

Shafia is a student member of the Solicitor’s Regulatory Authority.
