Family

Saima graduated from Queen Mary University of London in 2006 with a 2:1 LLB. She completed her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in 2007.

Saima went on to gain experience in Property law at a firm in Camden. She then went on to clerk, and subsequently supervise a clerking Agency. Saima has also worked in a headhunting company in the City. She has further gained experience as a paralegal in Competition Law and Litigation/Arbitration in the City.

Saima joined Duncan Lewis in September 2009 as a debt caseworker. She was attracted to the firm because of its strong reputation and commitment to social welfare and publicly funded work; its wide range of complimentary practice areas; and promotion of diversity.

She was particularly impressed by the excellent training, progression and development prospects the firm offers. Saima hopes to complete her training contract with Duncan Lewis.

Saima enjoys going to the gym, cycling, eating out, and reading. She is fluent in Urdu.

Saima has a strong commitment to investing in the community; she has been consistent in her pro bono efforts across her academic and professional life, advising at Legal Centres across London. She has also carried out IP and Anti-terror work for the Muslim Council of Britain.
