Anthea Dave graduated from City University with an honours degree in Business Law and went on to complete her Legal Practice Course at the Inns of Court School of Law.
Anthea was employed as an Employment Solicitor. She practises private employment work at our Harrow on the Hill office, dealing with contentious and non contentious Claimant and Respondent work.
Anthea trained and qualified in Debt and Employment before joining Duncan Lewis Solicitors. Anthea began her training in Debt during her training contract and enjoyed the results she could achieve for her clients, which in many cases would result in large sums of their debts being written off, due to enforceable consumer credit agreements. In particular Anthea enjoyed challenging second secured loans, mortgage shortfalls and Charging Orders, which she has successfully defended for her clients at court.
Anthea has successfully built a Debt department at Duncan Lewis. She is also a supervisor in this department. Anthea encourages her supervisees to explore possible challenges to our client’s debts before admitting liability. Anthea further encourages the public to come forward with any agreements governed under the Consumer Credit Act to check whether they are in fact enforceable.
Anthea is a member of the Money Advice Association and has expressed her views in the media on mortgagor’s bullying tactics when they have issued possession proceedings; she is always looking for new a case which highlights unfair and irresponsible leading. Anthea does not only encourage clients to come forward with any agreements governed under the Consumer Credit Act but also emphasizes to people that it is never always too late to stop something from happening, or to put in that application which could save someone losing their home.
