Louise joined Duncan Lewis & Co in January 2008 as a Duty Solicitor in the Criminal department at the Dalston office.
Qualifying as a solicitor in April 2001, Louise has all round experience of criminal defence work. Louise's experience includes police station advice and assistance, advocacy at Magistrates court level, as well as Crown and Magistrates court preparation. Louise has also had conduct of murder, rape, multi-handed drug cases and a wide range of other complex and serious matters as well as handling minor summary cases.
Louise has specialist experience in representing political protesters and human rights activists. Notably she represented anti-war protesters at RAF Fairford in a landmark case, which went all the way to the House of Lords, raising issues surrounding the legality of the war in Iraq.
Louise is also the legal advisor to the Football Supporters Federation, advising on football banning orders and arranging representation. Louise also writes an advice column in Football Supports Federation Journal.
Louise is a working mum and lives locally to our offices.
