Hardeep qualified as a Solicitor in 1997 and joined Duncan Lewis in January 1999. He went on to become a Director of the firm and is Head of the Criminal team at the Hackney office.

Hardeep currently manages the Criminal department, which encompasses solicitors, trainee solicitors and Caseworkers.

He has been actively involved in growing, training and supervising the department as well as continuing to practice.

Hardeep’s caseload has covered a wide majority of large criminal cases, such as murders, drug importation, fraud and rape. One of Hardeep’s extensive murder cases in 2003 involved a Turkish client who went on a killing spree in North London and the case received considerable news coverage at the time.

The following reported cases, cases of public interest that Hardeep has been involved in are: R v Pearce Murder Case -Client charged with Director of abusing and killing Director's 18 month old - child sustained 75 injuries - reported again in local Bedfordshire news - Client’s Director was convicted of Familial Homicide which was one of the first reported cases of an individual being convicted of such an offence which had just been introduced.

Evidence against client was overwhelming and he was eventually convicted of murder.

R v Dhillon Murder Case - Reported in Local West London Paper/ BBC Local News - Client was accused of killing his Best Friend who was a well known drug dealer around Southall/ Hanwell area - Killing occurred as a result of night out fuelled by drink and drugs - Client pleaded not guilty on grounds of self defence- Client was acquitted of murder but found guilty of manslaughter Case unique in that whilst client was awaiting trial a bail application was made on his behalf - client was released on bail to an address in Bradford whilst awaiting a murder trial.

R v Cudjoe Butcher & Others Murder Case - Reported in local South London Press/ Evening Standard/ BBC Local News - Again drug related gang killing - Client was one of 7 youths whom attacked an individual in relation to a robbery (over drugs) that resulted in the murder of the youth in May 2008. Client was acquitted of murder but found guilty of manslaughter and conspiracy to rob. Case involved a considerable amount of intimidation to the victim's family, which resulted in the family having to be re-housed.

R v Bradley Walters Stewart Murder Case - Reported widely in local East London Press / Evening Standard and local BBC News - Case known as the Maryland Killing - Client stabbed his friend outside Maryland Train Station, East London in February 2009 after an argument over a £15 debt the client owed the victim. Case attracted considerable media coverage at a time when there had been already a considerable amount of knife related killings in London. Client ran the defence of self-defence but was convicted of murder.

R v Nwoiah Assault Matter on PC at Ashford Magistrates Court representing the famous DJ / Nightclub Promoter - The Pied Piper - who had contacted me via a referral.

Also represented the Pied Piper at Ashford Police Station.

Present case load involves: Representing a client on an estimated 10 million pounds possession with intent to supply Heroin charge and a client who is currently on police bail for the suspected murder of a Sri Lankan female in a park in Walthamstow E17, which again received local media coverage.

Hardeep is fluent in both Hindi and Punjabi languages.
