Andre Beryl Crump attended school in Hackney and went onto to study ILEX at Kingsway Princeton College prior to commencing employment at Clifford Watts Compton in 1990 where she undertook case preparation in criminal family and child law proceedings.

Andre then undertook her studies on a part-time basis and successfully gained her LLB (Hons) then went onto complete her LPC, she ultimately qualified and was admitted in July 2005.

Specialising in Crown Court case preparation, Andre has nearly 20 years experience and has gained a wealth of knowledge in respect of all areas relating to criminal practice. In 2005, Andre was tasked to undertake trial preparation for a re-trial on a murder, which involved two defendants where the appeal had been allowed and the re-trial had been set to take place at very short notice. This case was amongst the first to argue the dangers of partial DNA. Andre joined Duncan Lewis in 2007. Andre is able to advise clients throughout proceedings from the police station, case preparation, trial and appeal procedure. Andre has successfully achieved Police Station Accreditation, Higher Rights of Audience - Stage 1 & 2 and often conducts her own advocacy in the initial stages at the Crown Court.

Andre was a Youth and Young People’s mentor with Hackney Youth Project until it was disbanded, however, she continues her mentoring by volunteering her time to a local Youth & Book Club.

In her spare time, Andre enjoys baking, cake decorating, and spending time on her allotment.
