Community Care

Rhea graduated from The University of Kent at Canterbury in 2003 and then went on to do the LPC at Westminster University. She joined Duncan Lewis in July 2005 as a Caseworker within the Community Care department, and completed her training contract with the firm.

Rhea qualified in May 2008 and decided to specialise in Community Care and Mental Health Law, and more recently Mental Capacity Law. Rhea finds the combination of areas affective for assisting her clients with their legal problems both in the community and in hospital. Rhea is an approved Mental Health Panel Member and represents client in both Mental Health Tribunals and the Court of Protection. Rhea also has knowledge of and experience in bringing Judicial Review proceedings against local authorities, Primary Care Trusts and NHS Trusts. Rhea is the head of the community care department and supervises both case workers and trainees.

Rhea was attracted to Duncan Lewis because of the many areas of law that the firm specialises in and particularly because the majority of the areas of law are franchised with the Legal Services Commission and the opportunities she has had to grow and develop through the firm.
