Charlotte joined Duncan Lewis in October 2000 and progressed through the ranks of the firm as a caseworker, then Trainee Solicitor and then qualifying as a Solicitor in February 2003.
Director of the firm and now heads and manages the Community Care team at the Hackney office. She is actively involved in training and supervision of the department as well as continuing to practice.
As well as dealing with Community Care law, Charlotte also specialises in social welfare and housing law. Her areas of expertise in Housing law includes housing property litigation covering landlord and tenant (residential); possession actions; homelessness; illegal evictions; disrepair; neighbour disputes; property disputes and harassment. She has an interest in duties owed by local authorities to those who are vulnerable and has experience of advising on homelessness and allocation rights and challenging local authority decisions by County Court appeals and/or judicial review.
Charlotte is a member of the Housing Law Practitioner's Association. She is also a Duty Solicitor for possession of rental and mortgaged properties in three London County Courts.Charlotte also has an interest in those who suffer from disabilities of any kind in terms of their access services.
In addition to Court and practice work, Charlotte provides assistance to community organisations in the area.
