Nadia is a qualified solicitor working in the Child Care and Family Departments in our Hackney Office.

She graduated from the London Metropolitan University in 2003 with a LLB (Hons) Law degree, LLM Masters degree in International Commercial Law and the Legal Practice Course.

Nadia initially joined Duncan Lewis in April 2004 as a Caseworker in the Family department and subsequently completed her training contract with the firm, gaining experience in Family, Child Care and Mental Health Law. Having qualified as a solicitor in January 2007, Nadia went on to work in a firm of solicitors located in North London in June 2007. She returned to Duncan Lewis in April 2009 to continue her work in Family and Child Care.

Her expertise of work includes divorces, financial matters ancillary to divorce, domestic violence, private and public children law cases. She has an empathic and understanding approach to her work and is accustomed to working with a diverse range of clients from varying backgrounds. She advises on both private and publicly funded cases and ensures that an impeccable service is offered to all.

Nadia is also involved in doing pro bona work and currently attends the Indo-American Refugee and Migrant Organisation in South London, advising on family and children issues. In the past, she has undertaken voluntary work and advised at Domestic Violence Projects based in the community.

Additionally, Nadia ensures that she is kept up to date on Family and Children Law by attending external and in-house training courses on a regular basis. She is currently aiming to become accredited as a Family Law Panel member, which will enhance the quality of service that she is able to offer to her clients.

Nadia is fluent in reading, writing and speaking Urdu and is also able to converse in Hindi and Punjabi. In her spare time, Nadia enjoys travelling, keeping fit and reading crime-fiction thrillers.
