Child Care

Hanife graduated from University of London, Queen Mary and Westfield College with LLB Hons in 1995. She completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law at Store Street in London in 1998 and was admitted as a solicitor in October 1998.

Hanife joined the firm in September 2007 and is in the Family/Childcare Departments. She deals with public children act matters representing Guardians and parents in applications for Care orders, Supervision order, Special Guardianship Orders, Adoption proceedings. She also deal with private children act proceedings representing parents in applications for Residence Orders, Contact Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders and Specific Issue Orders. Hanife deals with matrimonial proceedings and in particular divorce and ancillary relief proceedings.

Hanife is a member of the Law Society Children Panel since October 2003. At Duncan Lewis she maintains the role of supervisor within the Family Department.

Hanife was a committee member of the Turkish Legal Society from 2000- 2005. Since 2005 she stepped down from the committee but is still a member. Hanife is Turkish speaking.

Hanife was attracted to the firm because she felt they were a successful, young, expanding firm, serving many sections of the community.
