Child Care

Emine Mehmet graduated with a 2:1 honours degree. After successfully completing her post graduate studies she became a trainee solicitor at Fahri Jacob Solicitors.

Emine qualified in October 2003 at that Firm and was quickly made a salaried Partner, in December 2003.

Emine went on to join Pollecoff solicitors in 2005 where she practiced until January 2012, when she joined Duncan Leiws.

Emine Mehmet specializes in all aspects of matrimonial/family law but has a particular interest in Childcare Law and is a member of the Law Society's Child Law panel. She has large practices both in private child law disputes such as contact and residence and also in public law cases such as care proceedings, for example acting for parents of children removed into care or for the children themselves, through their guardian's.

In addition Ms Mehmet is on the panel for the National Centre for Domestic Violence and is involved in charitable work, giving free advice on a telephone advice line service on a monthly basis.
