Noemi joined the firm in March 2004 as HR Manager, bringing with her several years of experience in the HR field acquired in a variety of organisations, including British household names such as Hovis/RHM, Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College (one of the largest tertiary colleges in London), Mundicolor SA (part of the Iberia group) and a charity providing training to the long term unemployed.
Noemi's role within Duncan Lewis has included developing and managing the Human Resources provision over the last few years at a time when the firm was embarking on the opening of new offices and increasing its presence within the legal community.
In 1988 Noemi obtained a BA in Psychology (major in Industrial Psychology) having already acquired a post-graduate Diploma in Personnel Management in 1994. She is a member of the Spanish Psychological Association since 1988 and of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development since 1994 (first as a Graduate and later as full Member).
Within the organisation her main areas of responsibility include: HR strategy, recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, communications, management and leadership of the HR team, health & safety; training and development; performance management, managing of the training contracts, updating the firm's policies in line with current legislation and ensuring the firm's HR functions are compliant with the Quality Marks held.
Noemi is actively involved in the wider HR community and has links to the West London CIPD branch. She has participated in HR related events run in co-operation with "Working Visions" (an Independent consultancy specialising on providing HR services to the architectural community) building a bridge across the legal and architectural professions and expanding the presence of Duncan Lewis in this community, including participation at the RIBA Institute of a seminar on the impact of Flexible Working.
Her hobbies include a passion for new knowledge about people/cultures/psychology, travelling and cooking.
