Nina Joshi was admitted as a Solicitor in February 1998 and has extensive experience in Children and Family Law and has dealt with many cases of Divorce, Domestic Violence, Ancillary Relief and Children Proceedings having also represented clients in Court.

She has been with Duncan Lewis since its inception and has played a major role in the set up, development and management of the Company. Nina holds the position of Managing Director and whilst she is based in the Hackney Office, she deals with managerial duties in the day to day running of the entire business and in particular is the Legal Services Commission (LSC) Franchise Representative and has the responsibility of liaising and negotiating with the LSC. Her in-depth knowledge and experience in publicly funded work spanning over 13 years gives her a unique insight into the workings of the LSC and enables the Company to strategically forward plan its future growth and development in this area of work. She is a major contributor to the formulation of the Company Business Plan.

In 2007 the LSC invited Nina to join the Civil Providers Reference Group and the Crime Providers Reference Group in order to seek her opinions on potential innovative proposals the LSC wishes to introduce to the Legal Profession. Nina also prepares detailed Bid Tenders to the LSC which forms part of their strategic planning to procure additional work in order to improve local supply in all Civil Categories and Crime.
Nina oversees the various audit processes with the LSC and ensures that a quality service is maintained by the Company. Nina liaises with the LSC on all aspects of publicly funded work and in particular over financial matters with regards to reconciliation of accounts across all 6 offices. She oversees the billing carried out by the Company acts in addition acts as the “Complaints handling Partner”.
