Not all our clients have English as their first language.
At Duncan Lewis we recognise the importance of the traditions, customs and languages of different cultural communities, and always consider them when discussing a matter with a client. Ignorance of such issues may be a potential barrier to us fully understanding your requirements; also, they may be an additional difficulty for you to overcome when discussing matters of a personal or emotional nature.
We encourage our staff to acquire ëcultural awareness, to look beyond the pure facts of a situation and, when appropriate, to seek advice from colleagues who may have first hand experience of such traditions.
At your request we will seek to address any communication problem by involving a member of our staff who speaks your chosen language. Alternatively, we will offer the services of one of our approved external interpreters.
