I specialise in serious fraud and confiscation proceedings. I have over 20 years of representing clients in PACE interviews, and I have been supervising and training police station representatives for the last 10 years. The consequences of making an uninformed decision on whether to provide investigators with an account can be catastrophic. I cannot stress enough the importance of considered legal advice at this stage.
Having dealt with numerous serious investigations in my career, my experience enables me to anticipate the consequences of any course of action and to put you in the best place possible position at this stage. Confiscations proceedings are pursued where the defendant obtains the financial benefit arising from an offence which he was convicted.
I now head a confiscation and serious fraud unit within Duncan Lewis with my colleague, Simon Connolly. The unit represents clients on a nationwide level and enjoys an enviable representation for securing first class results in the most demanding and complex of cases. The majority of our work comes from referrals from clients and others in our profession recognise our expertise in this field.
We also welcome new enquiries and represent clients at all at any stage in the proceedings. We have extensive experience in acting for clients with the prosecution seek confiscation orders of an excess of £1 million. If you are being investigated or prosecuted by the NCA, SFO, FCA, DWP, Trading standards, HMRC, UK Border Agency, Police economic crime unit or CID, our specialist unit at Duncan Lewis can give you the advice and representation that you need.
