Shahnaz Roshan joined Duncan Lewis in June 2011 as an Immigration Caseworker at the Harrow office. She had previously completed work experience in the Immigration Department of the firm at both Dalston and Harrow offices. In December 2011 she was appointed as a Trainee Solicitor.
She has completed the Graduate Diploma in Law attaining a Distinction and the Legal Practice Course with Commendation. She has successfully attained a Masters in Law and Society (Criminal Justice) and a LLM in Legal Practice. Shahnaz is qualified as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker under the Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme.
Shahnaz has previously worked with the Australian High Commission as a Team Leader in the Immigration Department working on temporary and permanent entry clearance applications and singlehandedly managed the Skilled Managed Migration programme. She has also previously undertaken voluntary work providing legal advice and assistance at Tooting Law Centre.
Since joining Duncan Lewis Shahnaz has represented clients in all types of immigration and asylum matters from providing initial legal advice to appeals at the Immigration Tribunals. She is committed to the publicly funded work Duncan Lewis offers to those people in the community who are unable to afford high quality legal representation. Shahnaz has participated in projects run by the "Business in the Community" programme and the "Race to the Top" mentoring programme. She is fluent in Urdu.
In her spare time Shahnaz regularly goes to the gym and loves to travel.
