I am a Caseworker in the Mental Health and Court of Protection department in the Duncan Lewis Leicester Branch. I am committed to assisting individuals detained under the Mental Health Act including those detained in secure forensic institutions within the East Midlands Area. I undertake all aspects of case work and I am able to comprehensively advise clients in all aspects of their case leading up to, and in preparation for their Mental Health Tribunal hearings.
I also provide expert representation at Hospital Managers Hearings and Care Programme Approach Reviews. Through my meticulous and diligent approach to work I am proficient in assisting my clients in achieving the best possible outcome in their cases.
I have over 5 years of experience working with the Mental Capacity Act and Court of Protection, and have developed an expert knowledge and understanding of this extensive and developing area of law. I work closely with individuals who lack mental capacity; and use my considerable experience to provide advice on all aspects of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the work of the Court of Protection.
I also have an in depth knowledge of the Enduring Power of Attorney, Lasting Power of Attorney and Deputy-ship application, registration and revocation process, and I am adept at expertly advising clients on this complex process.
