I am a Solicitor and Supervisor within the Immigration Department at Duncan Lewis. I joined Duncan Lewis in 2006.
I have specialised in Immigration law since qualifying as a Solicitor in 2006 and have handled all aspects of immigration, nationality, EU and asylum work as well as appeals at the First and Upper Tier Tribunal of the Immigration Asylum Chamber.
I am qualified under the Law Society’s Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme as a Senior Caseworker, and Supervisor which allows me to specialise in Immigration & Nationality law and provide specialist legal help for publicly funded work under the firm’s Legal Aid Agency franchise.
I have extensive experience in a wide range of Judicial Review claimant challenges, particularly immigration, civil liberties and asylum-related. This has included cases of:
- Unlawful detention;
- Dublin III/Third Country removal;
- Unlawful delay in processing immigration and asylum applications.
I have significant experience acting for vulnerable clients including those in detention, those suffering from complex psychological issues and victims of torture and trafficking. I have achieved success securing their release from detention.
I supervise a team of solicitors all dedicated to representing the most vulnerable in society.
