Legal aid is the system whereby we are paid through public funds to represent you because you would not otherwise be able to afford to get vital legal representation.
After the huge cuts to legal aid, the scope of legal aid was narrowed, but you can still generally receive publically aided representation in judicial review challenges to detention and removal/deportation (with some restrictions for example if you have made repeated judicial review claims in a way that is perceived as abusing the system).
