Aina Khan^s Register Our Marriage Roadshow in Cardiff (20 November 2015)

On the 18th November 2015 Aina Khan's Register Our Marriage (ROM) Roadshow came to Cardiff.
The show was warmly welcomed by Imams, with 6 mosques pledging to register as venues to perform civil ceremonies. The event was later attended by local women's groups such as Inspire and Henna Project, Association of Muslim Professionals, medical professionals and lawyers, lecturers from University of Cardiff and University of S Wales and others coming from as far as London to support the campaign.
Aina has been asked by Welsh Imams to provide them with a standardised Nikah marriage contract, accompanied by a simple Pre Nuptial contract which would be accepted under English law, which they plan to use across Wales.
Aina commented on her recent Cardiff appearance;
"I am delighted with the sincere and full support shown in Wales for this campaign. I look forward to continuing my work here'.
