I am a Director and joint Head of the Family/Childcare Department at the New Cross Gate office in Lewisham. As a specialist in Public Law Children Act matters with 20 years' post qualified experience, I have represented many parents in Care Proceedings in a number of Courts around the country. As a member of the Law Society Children panel, I also represent children in Care cases when I am personally appointed by the Children's Guardian. I have worked predominately in the South East of London where I grew up, for 3 reputable firms before joining Duncan Lewis in December 2012. I have also worked for a large London Borough in the past in the Children's Social Services Legal department.
Before embarking upon a career in Law, I worked as a Civil Servant in HM Treasury in Whitehall for 10 years.
My background is very community based having worked with young people for the Peabody Trust in Deptford, Lewisham Play Leadership Scheme, Lewisham Mentoring Scheme and a founder Member of Brixton basketball Club which originated in New Cross. I am also a former Trustee to the 999 Club in Deptford, which is a charity assisting the homeless in South East London.
When not working I enjoy keep fit and dance. I was a founder member of an all female over 40s street dance crew and my one claim to fame was successfully auditioning for "Britain's Got Talent" in 2012.
